being bigger and smaller than we expect

sometimes it hurts    to not have what you want    when you want it but sometimes    some        fuckin           TIMES    what you get        is so much better        that it calls    the whole concept of        wanting    into question

am i anticipating    a long awaited joy or just bracing    for the clattering down    of the other shoe

how exactly do i explain that time stands still when it flies by like that what words convey a deeply lackadaisical sprint toward sunset it's a baffling thing how time becomes an illusion when your attention is the only thing to have my attention

here i am again at the unfamiliar place i remember so well sharp curves and smooth angles bright shadows dim sunbeams everything turned on its head for balance i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing and i've never felt more confident

open arms (wide) open smile (charming) open heart (full) open book (enchanting) vibrant and shimmering bold and determined prepared to laugh cry cheer protect without hesitation a beacon (bright) a bastion (sturdy) a blessing (pure) a beginning (new) what an astonishing thing to find
